Terms of Use

The service

3dprint.name is a free tool provided by 3D Print Land Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14790132). It turns text into printable 3D models and lets you export STL and 3MF files. It runs in your browser and is provided “as is”, without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Your designs and files are yours

You keep all rights to the signs you create and the files you export. We do not add any branding, watermark or hidden mark to your models. You are free to print them, and: subject to the fonts you use: to sell or gift the things you print.

Fonts and uploaded content

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any font or image you upload and any text or names you enter. Only upload material whose licence permits your intended use. You must not use the tool to create content that is unlawful, infringing, or that impersonates others.

Printing is at your own risk

The tool is provided without warranty of any kind, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Printability checks and material estimates are helpful guides, not guarantees. Print results depend on your printer, filament and slicer settings. You are responsible for checking your design: including spelling, names and dimensions: before printing. Always review a model before printing, and take normal safety precautions when 3D printing.

Accounts and cloud saving

You can optionally create an account to save projects to the cloud and sync across devices. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Cloud saving is an optional convenience offered “as is” and may be unavailable, limited or changed from time to time: always keep your own copies of anything important by exporting your project files. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

Sharing a design

When you use “Share”, the whole design is encoded into the link itself rather than stored by us, so anyone who has the link can open and edit their own copy of that design. Only share links with people you trust, and take care not to put anything private into the names or text you encode into a link.

Public gallery

You may submit a design with a real photo of the finished physical print for possible publication in the gallery. You keep ownership of your work. By submitting it, you give 3D Print Land Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, review, display and distribute the submitted photo and design through 3dprint.name, and to let visitors open and change their own copies of the design. This licence lasts while the submission is kept in the gallery system and ends when the submission is deleted, except for copies people have already saved.

You must own the photo and design, or have permission to share them, and the photo must genuinely show the printed result. Do not submit personal information, photos of people without permission, unlawful material, third-party artwork or content that infringes anyone else’s rights. We review every submission and may reject, unpublish or remove it at our discretion. Approval is not guaranteed. Published remixes retain a link to their approved source where one is recorded.

Pro subscription

Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features (such as multicolour exports, custom fonts, image shapes and colours, bulk generate and cloud saving). Payment is handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which Pro features stop. Prices and features may change, and we will show any change before it applies to a renewal. Statutory rights, including any applicable right to a refund, are not affected; for refund questions contact contact@3dprint.land.

Alternatively, you can optionally connect Patreon so that an active membership on our Commercial Patreon tier unlocks Pro. We verify your membership and tier with Patreon on our server (see the Privacy Policy). Pro from Patreon lasts while your Commercial membership stays active and is re-checked periodically; it stops if your membership ends, is no longer on the Commercial tier, or can no longer be verified. Your Patreon membership and rewards are governed by Patreon’s own terms and managed on Patreon, and one Patreon account can unlock a single 3dprint.name account.

We may also grant Pro features to some accounts on a complimentary basis (for example a “VIP” access we choose to give). Complimentary access involves no payment, is provided at our discretion, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time; it does not create any ongoing entitlement.

Contact and order enquiries

You can contact us with questions or to enquire about having a sign printed and posted to you. Any such message is an enquiry only. It does not create an order, a sale or a contract for goods, and we are under no obligation to fulfil it. A print-and-post order would only proceed if we separately agree the details, price and terms with you first.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service for harmful purposes.
• Do not use the tool to create content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Do not misrepresent the tool as your own product or resell access to it.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3D Print Land Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool, including wasted filament, printer issues, or lost designs. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the tool evolves; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
