Cookie Notice
Last updated 2 July 2026
This notice explains what 3dprint.name stores in your browser. Essential storage makes the tool work and is always on. Non-essential analytics is off until you agree, and you can change your choice at any time below.
Your analytics choice
Manage whether we may use analytics cookies and first-party product events. This does not affect any essential feature.
This controls Google Analytics (if enabled) and our first-party product analytics. It does not affect essential storage such as your saved designs, theme, login session or purchases, which always work. If you reject after previously allowing, we stop sending product events, stop further Google Analytics on this page, and clear the GA cookies (_ga, _ga_…) we can reach for this site straight away. A few cases are outside our control — for example cookies set on a wider parent domain or by another party — so you can always clear everything from your browser settings too.
Strictly necessary storage (always on)
The following is kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device to make the tool work. It is not used to track you across other sites, and most of it never leaves your device.
- Your current design and saved projects — so your work is still there when you come back.
- Theme preference — whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Editor preferences — small settings such as your material/price choice for the cost estimate and whether you dismissed the welcome hint.
- Your consent choice — so we remember whether you allowed analytics.
- Login session (if you sign in) — our authentication provider, Supabase, keeps your signed-in session in local storage so you stay logged in. This only exists if you create an account.
Technically most of these are “local storage” rather than cookies, but we list them for transparency. They are essential (or set only because you asked for them, such as signing in), so they do not require consent.
Payment (Stripe)
If you start a Pro checkout or open the billing portal, you are taken to Stripe’s own pages. Stripe sets its own strictly-necessary cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud. We do not embed Stripe on our own pages, so no Stripe cookies are set here.
Analytics (needs your consent)
These run only if you allow analytics above:
- First-party product events — aggregate events sent to our own
/api/events(for example “editor opened”). They store one random, anonymous id in your browser to de-duplicate counts, and never include the text you type, your files or your email. - Google Analytics (GA4) — if configured, sets a few first-party cookies (
_gaand_ga_<id>, up to two years) for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. Not used for advertising. It is not loaded until you consent.
Cookieless analytics (no consent needed)
Vercel Web Analytics gives us aggregated page-view counts. It is deliberately cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it does not require consent and runs to keep basic, privacy-friendly usage counts.
Do we show a consent banner?
Yes — a small bar appears until you choose, because Google Analytics and our product events are non-essential and must not run before you agree. It never blocks the tool: you can design, save and export whatever you choose. If Google Analytics is not configured for the site, no GA cookies are ever set regardless of your choice.
Third-party requests
Loading the site fetches display fonts from Google Fonts and is served through Vercel. These requests can be logged by those providers to deliver the content, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Clearing this storage
You can clear everything at any time from your browser settings (clear site data for 3dprint.name), or by using private/incognito mode. Doing so removes your saved designs, preferences and consent choice.
